Numerous numbers

Good to see that I am not the only one who has to photograph numbers wherever I see them. Wardour Street in Soho ist still home to many colour labs, film-, sound- and design-studios. Someone decorated this facade by printing out hundreds of numbers and sticking them on the window.

    Hi
I am a university student on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland Australia and I am doing a typography course. One of my assignments is to create a Font specimen book with a typeface that has a various number of variations from a well known designer. I am writing to ask if you can help with a range of one of your well known typefaces and any information/data/ etc that can help me to produce my own Font Speciman book. I look forward to your reply. If there’s twenty-one, thirty-one, etc. Have you ever wondered why there’s no onety-one?

It is because we have 10 fingers and ten toes. Beyond that, numbers become more abstract.

  8. It seems like I am not the only fan of Phytagoras and Robert Langdon here. I don’t know why I get fascinated looking at artworks with numbers on it. But it is the opposite when it comes to algebra. LOL I hate that subject back in college.

  9. Great Photo…It reminds me of a stock market board..Let’s see some more photos of your work. Thanks.

  10. That was quite a job to print out all those numbers not to mention pasting them on the window. It makes a fascinating photograph.

Certainly an interesting picture I think there is something similar with letters. You spend your time trying to find words that just aren’t there.

  12. Numerically Colorful and pleasing to the eyes. It would make a great game for preschoolers to recognize their numbers or a terrific arithmetic game.

  13. This is very enteresting picture. Now do all these numbers really tell anyone what they reaaly mean. I play a game with numbers with my kids identifying various letters in different words and then I have them add the numbers representing a letter. It’s challenging for them.

If you’re anywhere in the Atlanta area you have to check out the Coca-Cola building. It’s lit with dynamic graphics from top to bottom on all 4 sides on Th-F-Sa during May 2011.
I can see it from my site: Top of the Garage

  15. Who knew that numbers can also be used as an artwork. I hated them back in school now, I seem to love them when they are just in the street and no need for computations.

  16. It should be fun to buy a new car! Driving a new car is such a great experience, and purchasing the car should be fun as well.

A lot of people would rather skip the whole purchasing process.
Keep the stress to a minimum using these tips.
