Glasgow ’99 Typeface

A colleague wanted a copy of the logo for Glasgow ’99 that we designed at MetaDesign London back in 1997. When I looked for it, I found the movie that we made for the presentation at the time. Made in Director, not Flash, it is already a historical document.

Would anybody kindly tell me if the wonderful Sir Erik ( http://bit.ly/aFzYui  —  LOL ) has any free fonts in any weight. I’m making a set of posters about different typographers with their fonts in it for college.
Although i think it might be only lesser known Typographers that release free fonts an a specific weight –to gain exposure maybe?

No free fonts, although we have given away the odd weight now and again. If i gave away my work for free, how would i pay my rent? Free fonts are designed by kids who have a day job and too much time.

I had a feeling it was a silly question =)

Absolutely love the quirks that were incorporated into the typeface. The most amazing thing about this is that the animation, made in Director is timeless. You could just show it to some people now and say it was just done a day ago in a rush. That would be quite believable.
